Mission Rangla Punjab: CM Mann Targets Previous Govt Over 271 Cr Aid

The “Mission Rangla Punjab” initiative has been launched with the aim of supporting Dalit students in the state. This program will provide a substantial scholarship amount of 271 crore rupees to benefit approximately 270,000 Dalit students. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has emphasized the importance of this initiative, highlighting the government’s commitment to uplift marginalized communities and ensure that every child has access to quality education.

During the announcement of this initiative, CM Mann did not shy away from criticizing the previous government for its lack of focus on the welfare of Dalit students. He pointed out that past administrations had neglected the educational needs of these communities, leading to a significant gap in educational opportunities. By contrast, the current government aims to rectify these injustices through targeted financial support and comprehensive educational policies that prioritize inclusivity.

The scholarship program is expected to significantly alleviate the financial burden on families from Dalit backgrounds, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations without the constant worry of funding their education. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to social justice and equality, reinforcing the notion that education is a fundamental right that should be accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status. CM Mann’s administration is determined to create a more equitable educational landscape, fostering an environment where every student can thrive and contribute positively to society.
